ACLU Donations from “A Tale of Cupidity”

This is the place where I’ll be documenting donations to the ACLU from my spicy short story “A Tale of Cupidity.” The story was released in February of 2026, and at the end of every month I pull the estimated royalties and make a donation based on that.

Amazon estimates royalties because authors don’t get paid these amounts for about 90 days after they’re earned and in those 90 days the per page read amount changes based on how many people are signed up for Kindle Unlimited. The amount of change is rather small though, and is almost always less than the estimate (because of course it is), so instead of waiting three months, I just pull this number and donate it on the first of the next month. I’ll come back and update this post monthly.

Also, the images aren’t always consistent because sometimes I take screenshots on my phone and sometimes on my desktop, and sometimes I grab the receipt from the ACLU website, and sometimes from my email. Every month I pretty much forget how I did it the month before and just do whatever’s convenient!
